Quality Counseling Response to COVID-19
We are abiding the State of Indiana’s Back On Track Plan.
ALL STAFF AND CLIENTS MUST WEAR FACE-MASKS
As Terry J. Stigdon, MSN, RN Director, Indiana Department of Child Services, has stated: “it is imperative we continue to provide services, even if the way we provide services will look a bit different for the time being.”
Although we offer a limited amount of services in person, most of our services ARE offered virtually, by telephone, Skype, and other platforms.
We are taking proactive measures to protect our staff and guarding against any disruption of services.
We are abiding by the recommendations of the Department of Child Services, the Allen County Department of Health, state agencies, and the Center for Disease Control.
We have introduced safety measures, including the pre-screening of clients and staff, frequent and thorough hand washing, in depth health and safety training, proper cough etiquette, continued and frequent disinfecting of surfaces, no physical contact with individuals, social distancing, a reporting mechanism for clients and staff who have come into contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, along with virtual services.
We require all staff and clients to follow the recommendations of the CDC to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Nobody is allowed to enter our agency if they have symptoms of COVID-19.
With the exception of children under the age of nine, who are encouraged to mask up, nobody is allowed to enter our agency unless they are wearing a suitable face-mask.
All Quality Counseling employees from Fort Wayne were tested for COVID-19 on May 7, 2020. All tests came back negative. Consequently, there are currently no employees with COVID-19 at Quality Counseling.
Quality Counseling is regularly disinfected by a professional medical cleaning company. They apply iHP (ionized Hydrogen Peroxide) disinfectant. They spray a disinfectant mist in the air and on all surfaces. The equipment and the iHP solution
\are both registered with the EPA and the solution is on the N List for emerging pathogens such as Sars-cov-2 and COVID-19. The service leaves zero residue and requires no wiping or cleaning after the application and is safe to use on electronics, metals, vinyl’s, rubber and carpeting. The process not only kills all known bacteria spores but also inactivates all known viruses on surface by a “six log” or 99.9999% reduction, the highest standard.
