Quality Counseling Response to COVID-19
ON MONDAY, MARCH 23, INDIANA GOVERNOR HOLCOMB, ISSUED A STAY AT HOME ORDER THAT EXTENDS FROM MARCH 24 TO APRIL 7 FOR ALL NON-ESSENTIAL WORKERS
As social services are essential services, Quality Counseling will continue to provide services to its clients, families, and the community.
As Terry J. Stigdon, MSN, RN Director, Indiana Department of Child Services, has stated: “it is imperative we continue to provide services, even if the way we provide services will look a bit different for the time being.”
Although we will offer a limited amount of services in person, most of our services will be offered virtually, by telephone, Skype, and other platforms.
We are taking proactive measures to protect our staff and guarding against any disruption of services.
We are abiding by the recommendations of the Department of Child Services, the Allen County Department of Health, state agencies, and the Center for Disease Control.
We have introduced safety measures, including the pre-screening of clients and staff, frequent and thorough hand washing, in depth health and safety training, proper cough etiquette, continued and frequent disinfecting of surfaces, no physical contact with individuals, social distancing, a reporting mechanism for clients and staff who have come into contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, along with virtual services.
We require all staff and clients to follow the recommendations of the CDC to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Nobody is allowed to enter our agency if they have symptoms of COVID-19, have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19, or have traveled to the epicenters of the pandemic.
We have no reported cases of COVID-19 among our staff and clients.
