Quality Counseling has received hundreds of excellent reviews over the last decade. They literally fill entire binders. What follows is a selection of the most recent ones.
I enjoy all of the different aspects it entails. The most challenging aspect is time management and prioritizing. There is always room for growth and knowledge at Quality Counseling. I started as a caseworker fresh out of college and gained experience that led me into an administrative position. When dealing with clients, you need to be able to see the window of opportunity and know how to get through it. If you like a challenge and are up for constant change and growth, this is the field for you. Anita (2023)
I enjoy being able to help others. Being a resource for our clients. Helping them get through tough points in their lives.
I would say the most challenging aspect is working through different emotions with adults and children.
The benefit of working with Quality Counseling is seeing the success of different families. Being able to get them back into the same home safely.
Since working for Quality Counseling, I was able to use my ethical training with clients. Ensuring not to get too involved, but also showing concern and empathy for their situation in a professional manner.
I feel that working for Quality Counseling in my training helps me provide for our clients and makes a difference in their situation. I try and answer every question for our clients and give them any information that is needed for their success. If there is something I don’t know I have a team that I am comfortable going to for that information.
If you are passionate about helping others, this position is for you. Ericka (2023)
Within my position as a caseworker, I truly enjoy working with clients to better their parenting skills and strengthen the relationships they share with their children. I enjoy knowing that I have a long-term positive influence on families.
The most challenging aspect of my position is not being able to make decisions that are duties of DCS workers and judges. I have witnessed circumstances in which family preservation has been decided when I believed child removal should have taken place and vice versa. Being the frontline worker, my position is to report progress and safety hazards, but sometimes it gets challenging when I don’t get to be the decision maker.
A few of the many benefits of working at Quality Counseling include self-fulfillment through helping families, development of personal and professional skills, and preparation for future career endeavors. I am able to gain experience in my desired field while still being able to positively influence both children and adults.
I feel as though I have grown both professionally and personally in the short amount of time I have been at Quality Counseling. College prepared me for this type of career, but it wasn’t until I was in the field myself that I felt as though I was truly capable making a difference in children’s lives.
I am thrilled that my job allows me to make a positive impact on clients and contribute to the successes of my community. I work with clients for an on-going amount of time to help them develop life skills, find housing, employment, and become better parents and humans. By teaching adults the correct way to parent, they are then raising more stable and rational children that will affect the community for generations to come.
The best advice I can give to someone considering entering the caseworker field is to walk in knowing that not every client will take well to the help. We try our absolute best to help every person, but it is ultimately up to the client to make the necessary changes within themselves. There are far more successes than failures, but the failures can still be difficult to manage. Miranda (2023)
I love making a difference in the community I live in. Being an agent of positivity and change in the lives of families. I love seeing the kiddos and babies. I love empowering women and mothers and young ladies. I love being responsible for the safety of our future (our kids). I like educating on a different way of being.
It is challenging working with the legal system and all the opinions of others LOL. However, I do remind myself we are all on the same team. I struggle with over advocating.
The benefits are working in an industry that is actively helping families in our community. I have a career and not just making “sprockets.”
I started as a caseworker and received on the job trainings. Advanced to team leader and then senior supervisor. I was not aware of the opportunity for CADAC II licensure until Quality informed me of the process and now, I can lead SA Groups. Promoting within is the Quality way.
This is a calling, not a job. I would suggest having a love of people and children. Having a lot of patience, empty, and understanding would be helpful coming into this vocation. Tabitha (2023)
What I enjoy most about my position is having the ability to interact with and welcome all individuals served within our agency as well as those within their teams. I get to have the ability to provide them with their first experience of our agency and help to make them feel welcome.
The most challenging aspect of my role is being a substitute for a secondary position. I have always tried to live by the philosophy of “Do you want it done right or do you just want it done?” I would much rather take the time to add my name to something done right and with quality rather than just getting it done because I am trying to complete two positions at the same time.
A benefit of working at Quality Counseling is to witness first-hand the quality of expectations and work performed. It makes it easy to see how what we do impacts the quality experience our individuals receive. It provides encouragement for self-reflection and a desire to improve in the quality of my own life.
I have grown both professionally and personally through the training and experience I have acquired. Although it is difficult for me to see, I know we all learn new things each day and this field sometimes each hour. My family also offers their occasional input on some changes they see in me as well.
I always felt that I was meant to serve. Although I didn’t always know what I wanted to do or what I liked that would make me an effective servant, the position here allows me to see a variety of needs. This can offer a way to maybe say “That’s what I want to do.”
The advice I would give others who are considering entering this field is it is not easy. It is not for those who are just looking for a paycheck. We are here to assist others in their daily needs. We meet them where they are, not where we are. If you choose to enter anyway, have a solid support system and a positive self-care regimen that can be done easily and daily. Brandy (2023)
