Service Description

We implement two evidence based therapies in our casework services offered to referred families: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (known as TF-CBT) and the Motivational Interviewing model.

TF-CBT is a joint child and parent psychotherapy approach for children and adolescents who are experiencing significant emotional and behavioral difficulties related to traumatic life events. This model is traditionally implemented in the office; however, different states started adapting it to a home based model to address the needs of served families.

Motivational Interviewing began as a treatment for substance misuse and now has widespread applications. Motivational Interviewing will be used to engage clients into TF-CBT, hence making use of two collaborative and complimentary evidence based practices.
