Community Cupboard allows our member agencies to directly refer clients to this “mom & pop” style grocery store for food assistance.

Those referred clients can shop for everything their family needs including: fresh fruits, and vegetables, meat, canned food, cereal, spices, flour, sugar, dairy products, cleaning supplies, paper goods, personal hygiene products, vitamins, and more.

Clients shop by weight allowances determined by the referring agency.

For some perspective: one hundred pounds roughly equals a heaping grocery cart full of food.

This shopping experience allows families to choose the food they want and need with dignity in a clean, friendly, non-judgmental atmosphere.

The person trying to get assistance does not receive money. Checks are sent directly to the person or place charging the clients and before that’s done, they call to make sure it is legit.
